(Anna Schiavo Tyng) My Great Aunt Anna (My Great Uncle William Tyng’s Wife)
Ingredients
1 lb Ground Beef
2-3 tbsp All-Purpose Flour
1 Egg (Beaten)
1/3 cup Milk (2% or Whole)
2 cups/8 oz Parmesan Cheese (Grated)
¼ cup Yellow Onion (Finely Chopped)
1-2 Dashes Worcestershire Sauce
To Taste Salt
To Taste Pepper
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350° and put the oven rack in the center.
Put the ground beef into a large mixing bowl.
Add the flour, egg, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and milk. Slowly and carefully mix it all together with a large mixing spoon being careful not to splash the milk out of the bowl.
When you have evenly incorporated all the ingredients, add the Parmesan cheese and onion and mix it all together until the ingredients have been evenly distributed.
Put the mixture into an ungreased loaf pan and bake for 30-60 min. or until the meat has browned all of the way through.
Remove the pan from the oven and pour the drippings into a sauce pan and use to make gravy.
Serve with green beans, mashed potatoes, gravy.
Note: Cream of mushroom soup mixed with the drippings along with a little salt, pepper, and milk makes a quick gravy.
Note: Eat this when you think you have a cold coming on and get a good night sleep.
